Hi, I’m Jonathan

I'm a Montréal-based Nuke compositor with production experience across feature film, episodic VFX and CG animation, working with studios including MPC Film, MRX, Rocket Science VFX and Island of Misfits.

My work includes CG and FX integration, blue-screen keying, roto and paint, tracking, complex clean-up and shot finishing. I'm particularly interested in the relationship between light, colour and photographic realism, and in resolving the often small details that determine whether a composite is convincing.

I originally trained as a fine artist at the Royal College of Art before moving into visual effects. Alongside my production experience, I continue to develop my technical and image-making skills through independent work in Nuke, Blender and 3D visualisation
